Sandy Springs History

The establishment of the Sandy Springs United Methodist Church in 1851 paved the way for the log cabins that would define the area as a quiet farm community until well into the 20th century. In the 1960s and 70s, the construction of highways afforded easy access to the city and the area experienced a boom in construction and growth.
